Another Broken Egg coming to Middleburg

Real estate brokerage and property management firm NAI Hallmark said it secured a lease between its client AMJ Group Inc. and future tenant Another Broken Egg for a Middleburg location.

The lease is for 3,800 square feet with an outdoor patio at Plantation Crossing, located at 1782 Blanding Boulevard.

“Another Broken Egg will be a new construction expansion of the existing shopping center situated at the center of a retail hub in Clay County at the northeast corner of Blanding Boulevard and Branan Field Road between Walmart, The Home Depot, and Lowes,” NAI said. “The location is expected to open in the Fall of 2023.”

The property owner: AMJ Group is a Gainesville-based real estate firm founded by MIT Ph.D. and former University of Florida electrical engineering professor Mike Warren in 1977.

NAI Hallmark Vice president Austin Kay said the restaurant will occupy three-fourths of an addition to the shopping center.

“Given the growth in the market and nearby St Vincent’s Hospital, this site aligns perfectly with (Another Broken Egg’s) customer base,” said Kay.

Orlando-based Another Broken Egg Cafe is one of the fastest-growing, daytime-only franchised concepts in the country, with more than 80 locations in 15 states and dozens more in development.

The business describes itself as an upscale breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant specializing in award-winning, Southern-inspired menu options with innovative twists and signature cocktails.

The restaurant will be the fifth Jacksonville-area location for Another Broken Egg. The other four are in East Arlington, Tinseltown, Riverside and Jacksonville Beach.
