More trouble for former OP Hospital nurse

A nurse arrested twice for stealing drugs from hospitals faces more legal trouble after being accused of taking more than $22,000 from an IRA without the owner’s permission.

Desiree Anne Lato, 41, was first arrested by Clay deputies in July after her former employer: Orange Park Medical Center, accused her of stealing Oxycodone and Morphine from a drug dispensing machine at the hospital. The nurse was arrested again in September for similar charges after accusations from her new employer: UF Health in Jacksonville.

News4Jax.com reported that there is also a protective injunction against Lato resulting from the IRS withdrawals. The petition for injunction also accuses the nurse of defrauding the victim out of the victim’s real estate.
