One dead in Middleburg shooting

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said one person is dead after a Saturday night shooting in Middleburg. In a statement, the agency confirmed the fatality, said the incident was isolated and that there was no threat to the public. The shooting occurred on Eli Whitney Drive which is north of Johns Cemetery Road and east of Foxtail Drive.
